Jacek Kawecki, Polish advocate

Polish and international law firms

Business law viewed through transactions and day-to-day decisions.

I advise entrepreneurs, business owners and management boards. I gained my experience in Polish and international law firms, working on complex, multi-stage projects as well as providing ongoing business support.

Companies, transactions and investments are one of the principal areas of my practice. I have advised on multi-million M&A transactions, due diligence reviews and reorganisations of large businesses. I have drafted and negotiated transaction documents, helped structure transactions and coordinated lawyers across different practice areas and jurisdictions. I also advise start-ups, founders and investors, from defining their working arrangements and preparing the company through to financing and investor entry.

Advising creative-sector businesses is another significant pillar of my practice. For several years I provided comprehensive support to a marketing group listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. I drafted and negotiated agreements for its marketing activities, advised on copyright and reviewed nationwide advertising campaigns. I now support marketing, advertising, digital and creative agencies on client and subcontractor contracts, rights in materials, campaign delivery and day-to-day business decisions.

I also have many years’ experience advising technology companies, e-commerce businesses and start-ups. My work has included implementation, maintenance, licensing and subcontracting agreements, as well as contracts for IT services. I have also coordinated cross-border projects with lawyers in other jurisdictions, aligning different legal systems, languages and stakeholder interests.
